The NBA will have 15 games each starting 15 minutes apart tonight. This means that I can be a big fat loser 15 different times.
Yes, of course I found some legitimate bets for tonight. All 30 teams are playing, so there were bound to be a few simpler plays.
But how about this: how about I sit there and bet a first basket scorer in every single game, and then at the end of it all, I turn around and realize that I am 15 dollars poorer.
That is exactly what I plan to do.
There is a good bit of science behind betting on the first basket scorer of an NBA game. In fact, there is an entire Twitter account dedicated to it.
But at the end of it all, we just need a little luck.
Will Giannis Antetokounmpo score one of his eight billion buckets to open the scoring? I mean, maybe, but is it really that crazy to think that Jevon Carter will find himself desperate at the end of the shot clock and heave up a three-pointer?
Alright, maybe, but the point is simple. You can’t get too far in the weeds with this stuff. You have to get a little bit. But that’s it.
Take it from me: the guy who once bet on two different guys to score the first basket that did not even start the game…in the same night.
